Painting Schools, Park Districts, and Village Buildings Since 1969
Public buildings have their own rules. The work has to be bid, insured, and documented. It has to happen when the building is empty, which usually means a summer break or an off-season window that does not move. And it has to look right for a long time, because the next repaint is years away and taxpayers are paying for it. We have been doing this kind of work for North Shore schools, park districts, and villages for decades.

Public Work We Have Done
- West School, Glencoe: exterior repaint on a summer schedule.
- Riverwoods Village Hall and Northbrook Village Hall: exterior painting of occupied municipal buildings.
- Northbrook Public Works and the Park Ridge Village Hall.
- The Glen warming shelter, Glenview: interior and exterior.
- Hubbard Woods Park gazebo, Winnetka, and the Hawthorn Woods picnic shelter.
- Aquatic facilities: the Northbrook pool slide and the Niles swimming pool, with coatings made for chlorine and sun.
- Gymnasiums in Arlington Heights, light poles in Highland Park, and Metra stations on the North Shore.

How a Public Job Runs With Us
- Bid-ready paperwork. We respond to bid documents with a scope by building and surface, certificates of insurance, bonding on request, and a W-9, so purchasing has what it needs the first time.
- Prevailing wage and documentation. Certified payroll and the records a district or village needs for a public project.
- Lead-safe certified. Many North Shore schools and municipal buildings predate 1978. We are EPA Lead-Safe certified and follow the containment and cleanup rules that protect students and staff.
- Crews you can trust in a school. Every crew member is OSHA 10-hour ladder and scaffold certified; background checks are provided when the district requires them.
- Scheduling around the calendar. Classrooms and gyms over summer break and holiday weeks; shelters, pools, and park structures in the off-season; village halls after hours and on weekends.
- Low-VOC products. Occupied buildings get low-odor paint so offices and classrooms can be used the next day.
- Certified lifts for tall exteriors. Gyms, fieldhouses, and multi-story schools are painted from certified aerial lifts, not improvised ladders.
What We Paint for Districts and Villages
- Classrooms, corridors, cafeterias, gymnasiums, and locker rooms.
- School and fieldhouse exteriors: masonry, block, metal panels, trim, and doors.
- Pool decks, slides, and aquatic buildings with chlorine-resistant coatings.
- Picnic shelters, warming houses, gazebos, bleachers, and park structures.
- Light poles, railings, fencing, bollards, and other painted steel.
- Village halls, public works buildings, police and fire facilities, and libraries.
- Drywall, plaster, and carpentry repair before the paint goes on.

Built to Last Until the Next Budget Cycle
Public buildings take abuse: backpacks on corridor walls, carts in the cafeteria, chlorine on the pool deck, snow on the shelter roof. We match the product to the surface, use scrub-resistant finishes where hands and equipment hit the wall, and prep steel and masonry properly so the coating does not fail in two winters. A repaint that lasts is the cheapest one a district can buy.
